GM Classics April 2012 News Letter [image]
April Edition
April, 2012

Dear GM & Nova Enthusiast,

The hottest March in most places has everyone looking for cruises to attend a month early this year. But, cutting grass a month early is the only item for warm-weather on the con list in my mind! I have spent so much outside that I have fallen behind on this month's newsletter!

We have been very busy - is the economy getting better? We think so! Are gas prices ever going to come down - don't bank on it. I recently went about 25 miles from the office to pick up some parts for our Ford/New Holland tractor which is the only Ford in our fleet - If GM built a tractor I would buy one! Driving the 25 miles each way twice in two weeks gave me some time to think about how much it costs in fuel just to do simple things - these trips cost me say $11.00 in fuel for a round trip & to fill up my truck and my diesel fuel cans for the tractor today cost me $153.00. Pretty unbelievable it can cost this much just for day to day stuff. Will this keep me from working on my Nova, no way! Will it keep me close to home for some cruise nights, maybe!

Fuel prices will not keep us from attending the big spring Carlisle show next week and I know I will see all our dedicated customers there picking up parts to save freight costs! This is a great show and if you have never been to it then make plans soon, it isn't too late. The Louisville Kyana show and the Indy show were very crowded and we expect the same for Carlisle.(View photos from Spring Carlisle 2011).

Along the same lines, did you know that this is the 50th anniversary for the Nova? Yes the 1962 is now 50 Years old! To celebrate this we are going to ask those who are original owners (who still have their car) to write up a short story to be shared in our next few newsletters. Or if you have any old story about a `62 we would like to hear from you as well. If you are interested, reply to this email expressing your interest and we will send you an informational form that you can fill out for your Nova.

As a reminder, at the end of July we plan to give away one $250.00 gift certificate to one lucky customer who ordered in that 6 month period & another gift certificate for the same amount at the end of the year.

Sincerely,

Your GM Classics Crew
